Elinor Carucci Guest Task – ‘Creating a Human Narrative’

with 2 comments

This is the one task on the #picbod course which I was looking forward to.  The task being to tell a story with 10 to 20 images.  The goal being to give the viewer a sense of narrative that involves human elements.

I decided to make images of my five year old daughter in the garden.  She wanders around with her pushchair.  Although only five she is fully aware of everything around her.  She takes me on a visual journey of discovery as she explores the garden.  I keep my distance.  Just stand and observe.  It makes me wonder how it must feel to be discovering things for the very first time.

  1. Lovely series! The soft focus works really well. Also the way you shot many of the photos from her viewpoint allows the viewer to enter into her experiences of the world.
