352mc Professional Photographic Practice: Short stories with images…

with 4 comments

Last month I had the pleasure off being able to look a lot more closely at the work of Jason Tilley and his blog located Here.  Although Jason has many images that fit together as a great body of work, he also has many which are strong enough to stand alone.  Recently he has started sharing these images on his blog, along with just a short story about the image and how he managed to make it that day.

Although my main story at present is about Pete and Katya, I have plenty of other images which like Jason’s, stand lone.  They have nothing to do with Pete and Katya’s story but they are images that are related to the project as a whole.  I plan to use these in a similar way to that which Jason has and this in turn could bring more traffic to my blog, and hopefully more interest in the project as a whole.  Anyway, without further ado, here is the first image below.

I’m out late at one of Kiev’s more popular bars.  Buddha bar to be precise.  A guy enters and orders two drinks.  A nice ‘his n’ hers’ combination. He sits and waits.  Then waits some more.  After endless texts , his posture and body language changes.  I didn’t have to read the message on his phone.  She wasn’t coming.  He finishes both drinks and leaves alone…
