352mc Professional Photographic Practice: Editing down images for the portfolio book
After receiving some feedback from my mentor Harry Hardie last week, it was agreed that I should start to work on a portfolio book to go with my exhibition. Not a proper book as such, as this is something which is being planned for later in the year, but just something that people can flick through to see my other work.
My exhibition will only have on display ten images, which in all honesty does not tell the full story of what I am documenting. The portfolio book will help to fill in those blanks.
Well after a hard eight hours of editing down yesterday, I finally managed to select which images were to be used. Drawing on past experience, I used photographs reversed to act as blank pages, so I could get a better feel of how the pages in the book would actually flow.
Designing the layout of the book was easy enough and I have now ordered six copies, which are guaranteed to arrive before May 22nd.
I have ordered a small perspex holder which the book will sit in, but still need a way of securing the book to the actually holder so that nobody can simply walk off with it. It does however, still ned to be viewed freely.
